Anatomy The anatomy of inguinal hernia!

1 month old baby have left sided inguinal hernia. Which of following is true cause?

1) weak superficial ring
2) weak deep ring
3) weak inguinal ligament
4) persistent processus vaginalis

CORECT ANSWER is

(d)

persistant processus vaginalis causes congenital inguinal hernia

if some part of it is retained it causes ---->hydrocele
