Default Required topic in immunology?

Is the complement pathways required in USMLE step 1?
In kaplan video, it was said that the complement pathway is not required but it is just the function of the complement that is important. However, I found the 3 pathways (alternative, lectin, classic) of complement system in first aid! So should it be memorized?

I don't think so. I did my immunology from Kaplan too with the videos. The lecturer herself said you don't have to learn the pathways. Just do the questions to get the concept right. It's paramount to know the complement factors deficiencies though.

I did all the questions from UW immunology and they never asked the pathways directly, just the deficiencies.
