Question NBME 7 or 12?

Planning to take one tomorrow but not sure which and i don't have time to take both before my test. Checked out the poll here Best NBME Form for USMLE Step 1 but it seems that it's across different years so people who voted have not necessarily done both.
If anyone has done both, can you please advice?

Thanks!

Yikes, thats a hard one. I'm not sure how helpful this post is going to be (seeing that I took my last nbme advice from you!). But I have a friend who gave the exam quite recently (end June) and her read was that if you have time to go through the mistakes of any of your nbmes, its got to be 11 and 12! She felt a lot of similar graphs/questions were on the exam, and since they're probably the newest ones I'd think they're prob the closest. Having said that, almost everyone you talk to agrees that 7 is a very good predictor...So go with either I'd say! and best of luck! (not that you'd need it!)

Just finished taking 12. B.R.U.T.A.L. I think even UW qbank is easier. Lots of drugs and side effects, multi-step though process required for pretty much every question, long question stems. I can only remember one gimme with winging of the scapula lol. Got 85% correct for a grand score of 550/233. I was pretty psyched with the 252 on UWSA, hopefully that correlates better with my real score

Lol, go for it! From what I remember 11 was a bit more forgiving in terms of question stems. Definitely try to do 11 also before your test.
One of the key things I've found with these test is that I have to keep telling myself "I know this". Sometimes they give a convoluted stem or a ridiculous figure and I have to stop myself from going into panic mode and just remember that they are probably just asking some basic thing. That's my mantra for Saturday... I know the answer before I even see the question

best of luck! Damn, was thinking of giving it in a few days myself. Though try and go through the ones you've gotten wrong on that nbme. some repeats of 11 and 12 on the exam!
