DNA gene mapping

Can someone explain the question from Kaplan biochemistry lecture note chapter gene mapping question no.5( ABO blood type, MN allele and disease recombination)? I want to type the all question here but this involves pedigree picture so if someone has lecture notes around you would you please explain? Thank you!

BTW, is this part high-yield for step 1?

hey buddy.....its about linkage between ABO MN and DISEASE allele!!..if u see d pedigree ABO and DISEASE allele go consistently with each other...some diseased persons also have MN alleles but some also have NN alleles..and in contrast some non diseased persons also have MN alleles....it indicates MN allele is not linked with disease allele...remember for linkage recombination frequency is less then 50 %....recombination for linked genes mean u expect that two linked gene go togather but in less then 50% of progeny showing phenotype in opposite to ur expectation..for this chapter u have to knw linkage disequilirium,LOD score, recombination frequencies..!!!

the explanation u have given is what makes sense. however at the backside of the questions in the answers and explanations, the answer is right but the explanation is confusing, it says that all the individuals from 2-6 are recombinants between these loci of ABO and MN, and that individuals 3-5 and 7 are recombinants between the disease and MN. How is this possible? from my deduction only 3 4 5 and 7 are recombinant between ABO and MN, and 3 4 5 7 are recombinant between disease and MN. Please explain this :/

Gene mapping has become low yield according to recent text takers.
