This is exactly the problem I faced when I's prep for step1.
You have to do questions
start doing Kaplan qbank subject by subject for example
you finished 2nd review anatomy, start doing kaplan qbank only anatomy
then you finished 2nd review biochemistry, start doing kaplan qbank anatomy and biochemistry
so when u finish all books second time you'll see yourself doing everything in kaplan qbank.

don't worry about forgetting, most important is the questions

Just as aamand mentioned
Doing questions is very important for you at this time. This feeling that you are forgetting what you have just read is normal and it's negative will be enormously ameliorated when you start doing questions.
Only by starting qbanks when you come to realize that you previous reading are in fact fruitful and was not a waste.
I'd like to remind you also that both Kaplan Qbank and UWorld Qbank are important and three months are barely enough to do both of them appropriately.
If you have to sacrifice one of them then probably you sacrifice Kaplan in favor USMLEWorld as it has consistently proven to be of higher rank.

Wishing you good luck,

  • If you are looking for a score of above 90 then you should aim at Kaplan QBank score of over 60%.
  • If you have not done FA, then you can do it now but do not memorize the pages, just read them and see if there are things that you don't know or you have completely forgot then add your notes to the Kaplan books that you have already read before. Do not confuse yourself with two references, always keep one reference at hand and keep adding notes to it from other resources and in your case I'd choose Kaplan to be the primary reference.
  • If your goal is to hit the match next September then you must take step 1 by April so that CS in May so that CK in September. But (I hate to say this) this is very difficult and you are unlikely to succeed in this plan. Specially if you want to get high scores and you if you have other responsibilities such family, job, ...etc

If you increase your speed you will not get high scores. If you want high scores follow what steptaker told you. If you don't care about your high scores then I say keep doing questions from Kaplan Qbank and UW and forget about FA and Kaplan third reading.

If you plan for mid March then you probably should skip First Aid and Kaplan Qbank. Finish your second reading and hit on USMLEWorld.
Your 66% score in Biochemistry is excellent but 12 questions is very small sample, do at least two blocks after finishing each subject. Make your blocks timed.
So here's your plan.
After finishing each book second reading do two blocks kaplan qbank.
When you finish all books second reading start your USMLEWorld.
After finishing 500 USMLEWorld questions do NBME form 3 or form 6.
If your NBME prediction is what you want then continue doing USMLEWorld until the last day of your preparation.
Do not do First Aid, you don't have time for it.

i dont know whether i should advise u or not bcz i v myself nt taken da xam yet bt its scheduled in dz mnth only.... i think u shud devote ur full tym from now for study.... in my opinion usmle prep is lyk to cross a MOUNTAIN!!!!
and for an img.... Mount Everest!!!!!

watch kaplan vdos along wid reading kaplan.... then see first aid and dont waste a single min except for most important works... make a reasonable tym goal... go fast.... these 8 subjects are really big.... if u l go at a slower pace lyk u v mentioned (may be da reason of ur slow pace z dat may be u watch tv, do hang outs blabla).... dat will really make u tired and bored of preperation as u linger long...... as u ll forget things wen u wont devote ur full tym... so leave everything aside for these few mnths and devote ur full tym to study these days.... vdos are really imp... along wid this do usmle world.... and do around 2-3 blocks a day... not 12 ques.... u ll get ans wrong but wen u revyze ur mistakes do consult ur book as well along wid xplanations given.... wen ur done wid u world... then for practise keep doing the other qbank lyk kaplan or usmlerx or anyone.... keep revysing ur stuff so dat u retain it and it doesnt evaporate.....

dz z how i do.... as i said more xperienced ppl are already around... readin to whose threads i really feel benefitting....

anyways Best of Luck for ur preperation and ur Xam!!!
