Help nervous- PLZZZ REPLY!!!

Dear fellow doctors,

I have started my usmle prep just a few months back and sometimes in the middle of prep I try to do questions. but, I feel i get nothing from my study. I don't know why but it feels like i should not just give up USMEL but also Medicine.
does this happen to some of you too? when you try to solve Qs you just don't get anything...!

if yes, how to improve? what can I do to boost my confidence so as to keep myself pushing into this big task.

I finished endocrine (studying system wise) but still sometimes forget some points like adrenal insufficiency and all. Qs i got about 25% correct from the first time. Did Kaplan Qbank only endocrine section.
i'm so depressed!!!

What you are undergoing is common for doctors. The trick is you should take time to entertain yourself. Do things which please you. Go out for a ride. Watch shows which interest you. Take a break and then when you feel OK come back and open books. Now Q bank this takes time to get a good score. Use it as a learning tool. Don't expect good marks on your first try of Qbank.

Keep enjoying there is a lot more in life than medicine!

Yes stanford it is happening to me as well n you r not alone.
I too get depressed when i cant recall a topic wich i just read while solving a question.
My last month was somewhat wasted having these questions in my mind that whether i m fit for such an exam or this profession.
But recently i read some motivational posts in this forum and some videos.
Now i believe anyone can clear this exam..you just need to want it that bad.u need to be disciplined and persistent.
Just keep working and swear to yourself that you wont let a single negative thought enter your head from now on..dont waste your time thinking about the result of the exam now.
Give it your best shot..remember it should be your best effort and then leave it upto God.
Go on and dont be disheartened..everyone faces problems and doubts during their preps..but being positive is really important.
Ask yourself do i really want this?
If the answer is yes, give it a go..you will neva know whether u can clear it unless u sit for it.
So all the best.
