Skin Pathogenesis of rosy spots on abdomen in S.Typhi infection?

Could someone please elaborate on the rosy spots on the abdomen found in Salmonella Typhi infection? Surely it is a question waiting to be asked, if it hasn't been already. :P

According to Wikipedia, these rose spots are bacterial emboli to the skin...
