We take pills for headache and its gone. Then next day we feel headache again and take pill for it and headache is gone again.
What kinda reinforcement is it?

Negative re-inforcement, because an "adverse" stimulus is made on us, so we do "Something = take a pill" to avoid the stimulus...

"You press the button, avoid being shock"
"You hit the Snooze button on the alarm, to avoid waking up :P hahaha"

Same method different question.

"Positive" would be i do "Something" to get something in reward i want, i do the "auction" to get "something i want"... +.

"Negative" i do "the action" to DELETE or take out, Something i dont want.

"Punishment" "the action" Is done on me to DELETE/ERASE something we dont want.

"Extinction" = The best example, Child cries all the time to get attention, Parents dont pay attention to him, eventually he will stop "crying"

Extinction = i Took out the "re-inforcement method" = "Look at the child when he cries" to take out unwated behaivor.

Interesting, check this...

Parent and Child in Grocery store. Child asks for a candy bar and parent says "no". Child begins to Scream and Kick. Everone else in the lines looks in a disapproving manner at the Parent. Parent gives in and buys the kid a candy bar. Kid stops screaming. Other people stop look and go back to thier business.

Child's tantruming behavior is Positively Reinforced by receciving what he asked for (candy). The parent's behavior of giving into the kid is negatively reinforced by the removal of the tantrum and the disapproving stares of the other people. AND NOTHING GOOD HAPPENED!

Lesson: Reinforcement happens when the behavior increases in probability as a result of contingent stimuli.
