Arrow Pay the $50 or $60 and take the NBME!

Just wanted to say that; it seems a lot of folks take the test without taking an NBME. It's the only real way to know if you're ready for the exam so I don't know why people wouldn't take them. If it's the cost...seriously, $50 is not worth the agony of failing, or the long months of studying if you have to retake it.

I'd probably go 11 and 12 because they're the newest. I didn't do 7, and anything below 6 is not worth the money (I did 5 and totally regretted it, should have done 7 instead).

i Agree!!! nobody should take the Exam without a NBME before... They can assure you how well prepare you are to the real exam...

Thumbs Up

Yeah, I know what you mean. I was flying high a month ago with an early 200 something on my uwsa and then the nbme really brought certain body parts smacking back to earth. since then have been improving gradually but without the nbmes i don't think there'd be any way to know!!! I did 7,11,12 (in that order) and found 12 easier than the others, though since it was the last one i took cld be tht i was better prepared on it! dunno, fingers crossed for my coming exam, and fingers crossed for your results! best of luck all!

The $50 is for the one without expanded feedback, the $60 for the one with feedback that lets you see what questions you got wrong and how long you spent on the questions, i.e average time per question.
Any NBME below 6 is not worth it in my humble opinion, so do anyone you'd like above that.
Since you already have UWSA, you should do them, they are good learning tools but I'm not so sure about their predictive value.
