Drug Dexamethasone use in edema; mechanism of action

hi, could someone please explain the mechanism of action of dexamethasone in counteracting edema? thanks in advance

Dexamethasone like any other steroids blocks the arachidonic acid pathway and decreases inflammatory mediators like prostaglandins therefore no inflammation and therefore no edema.
