Psyche Buckling the seat belt just to stop the alert!

A person gets into their car and hears a constant bell telling them to buckle their seat belt, which is compliant with the state safety law. Buckling their belt quiets the sound of the bell. This is an example of-

A) positive reinforcement
B) positive punishment
C) negative reinforcement
D) negative punishment

Negative reinforcement: removal of aversive stimulus elicits behavior.....mouse presses button to avoid shock

man presses the seat belt to close to avoid hearing the alert!

Interesting... I dont know what happen with you guys and these Beh Q's.

Is Negative re-inforcement for the guy to put his belt to "calm the beeeep" ( The guy get to put the seatbelt because of the BEEP ( Extinguish the beep ))

Is positive reinforcement for the alarm, It was beeping so the guy can put his belt... ( The alarm get that everytime you seat on the car, you get to put your seatbelt)

Again,

Child Cries for some gum at Store, mothers give it to him, immediately the child calm down.

Its Positive Reinforcement for the kid ( He gain something for exhibit the behavior and most likely to happen again, so he can "GAIN" something)

Negative Reinforcement for the mom. ( She extinguish the behavior, Is most likely that soon after the kid wants something in the future she will buy it so he doesnt cry again),

Hope it helps... =))

Btw, Answer is Negative Reinforcement.
