Ok the answer to this question is -

B) CONSTIPATION

Everything else is a symptom of anxiety.

For those who said F) Difficulty achieving orgasm ... I don't think you can perform when you're going through anxiety! Just put yourself in the situation (or not) and think about it - when you have palpitations, you're hyperventilating & under a certain stressor, & w muscle tension ...I think it would be really hard to perform!

Wouldnt constipation come with anxiety/panic attack? The way I thought about this was if it was a sympathetic overdrive (fight or flight) that tends to divert blood flow away from non essential organs ie the GI tract towards the musculoskeletal system.

If sympathetic is over acting the question reminds me of the Point and Soot mnemonic which would put Sympathetic at orgasm. Maybe im just reaching with my logic.

If this answer is right then I just learned the mechanism of being "scared Sh*tless"

hahaha, regarding the performance depends on the person hahaha J/k but.. wow, i really though it was that one thanks.. because constipation its on FA as Panic attack. When FA says "Abdominal distress i though it was refering as Constipation or any GI sympton... =)

Correct Answer

Hey guys,

Sorry for the confusion but I was confused the same way! I narrowed it down to Options B (constipation) or F (sexual dysfunction). But anyways, I got this question from a link I posted in another forum -

http://www.usmle-forums.com/free-ads...questions.html

Its the first question on the list and if you go to the last page of the pdf you can find the answer. There's no explanation and I tried finding one online and couldn't find it either.
