Question query about reapplying for step1

my eligibility period will end on 31st oct.
if i dont appear for exam, and i have to reapply , how long will i have to wait
before i can reapply.
from my knowledge i knew its a 2 week period after then i can reapply.
but from ecfmg info booklet it says:

If you fail or do not complete a Step or Step Component, you must reapply, including payment of the appropriate fee(s), to retake the exam. If you do not take an exam during your assigned eligibility period, you must reapply, including payment of the appropriate fee(s), if you wish to take the exam; in this event ECFMG cannot begin to process a subsequent application for this exam until at least four weeks after the end of the eligibility period for the exam you did not take.

can anyone guide me??

2nd question is that the CREDENTIALS info on my ecfmg account says:
Medical education credentials received and verification pending!!

although i have a valid form186 on record.

although my med school has sent verification already.and i got my scheduling permit also when i applied for my present step1 application (which is about to expire)..

is it going to prolong my reapplication process ?? will my school have to resend all the documents !!
kindly help me with this .
ill be grateful.

Hi,
I am in the same boat as you guys were before taking step1. Actually my extended eligibility period will end in 30th November.

SO,I was wondering, when can I reapply for step1?? After 2weeks or after 4weeks ?? Thanks.

Oh really !!! That will be great. I mean I called ecfmg and they told me that since my eligibility period will be ending on 30th November, I will be able to reapply during the last week of December.

So, R u saying, I will be able to reapply around 15th December or even before? Thanks a lot fiZA. I really appreciate you responding to my queries.

From what i remember as soon as my eligibility
Period was no more on my record , i was able to reapply
Otherwise you wont be able to proceed with the link
That says reapply for step 1.

I might not be exact in my info
But it was something like that.
I dint have to wait long.

I'm in the same situation, and they told me the same thing. So I am confused too in regards to wen to apply. I want to take the exam in december as i only need another month to study. Also, since its the holiday period, does anyone have any idea wen the application will get processed by and when will the permit become available?
