Embarrassed question about radiation exposure!!!

A 45 year old man who is working at nuclear plant brought to hospital 1 hour after accident in which he was exposed to high level of radiation.amount of radiation is not believed to be fatal.but he appears agitated and fearful,has no symptoms right now.Pt most likely to initially show which of the following symptoms?

a)cardiovascular
b)gastrointestinal
c)renal
d)reproductive
e)respiratory

lol, i was looking for thyroid on this but couldnt find it. Had marked repro on this, dont remember where i saw this though. But GI might be right. My rational behind the repro was that radiation would affective dividing cells and reproductive system has high number of dividing cells (was thinking of sperm, ovum, etc)
looking forward to an answer on this.

answer is B.....ACUTE RADIATION SYNDROME...


GIT symptoms develops after 1 to 2 hours....neurological and hematological symptoms also occurs..


triad of acute radiation syndrome-
1)gastrointestinal symptoms-NVD
2)hematological symptoms-low cell count,infections
3)neurological symptoms..!!!
