Hello all,

I am an IMG, and i have decided to take up USMLE in 2012. I intend to complete all exams before August 2012.

Please review and advise on my timelines as below.

Step 1 in Jan 2012.
Step 2 CK in May 2012

Based on the above timelines and if get the desired results, will i be able to apply from September 2012 for the match in March 2013.

Hi,

Sounds like a good plan. I haven't taken any steps yet so Im not sure how the matching procedure works. One question though, Can you finish all of your steps during the Clinical Rotations? If yes, can you apply for residency match for 2013 while you're still doing your clinical rotations ?

Thanks!

Thanks for your reply. Just to let you know that I am an old IMG > 3 years since graduation and i do not have to worry about clinical rotations.

In addition, any inputs on the timelines from moderators would be appreciated !!

Regards
