Default Getting started

Hi guys!

I want to take the USMLE either in December or February but I am just getting started. I am an international med student and I just finished my fourth year (out of 6 years).
I have real a lot of threads in this forum to find out how to start.
I am going to buy different books b/c there are no Kaplan courses available in my country. I have bought FA and High-Yield Behavioral Science, and orderd Rapid Review Pathology and CMMRS online.
I have a few questions:
1) how do I start? Do I need to apply first thing?
2) is December too soon for me to take the test?
3) Many ppl in this forum used the Kaplan materials. Should I buy the books that come with the course on amazon? I have a set from the year 2000 on my computer- is it too old?
Or do you think I should by the books that are available from Kaplan for home study?
4) We didn't cover Behavioral Science in school. Is the high-yield book enough?
5) What other books would you reccomend, like for Anatomy, Biology, Genetics, Pharmacology, and so on? Should I buy the books recommended in FA?

Thanks in advance for your help!
I'm thankful for your suggestions!
