again: GOOD QUESTION!!!!

A)Congenital afibrinogenemia = normal Platelet
B)Thrombocytopenic thrombotic purpura = normal PT & PTT
C)End stage liver disease = the correct answer
D)Hemophilia B = PTT prolonged
E)von Willebrand disease = PTT & BT prolonged with low or normal platelet count

C... is the right answer..

Liver is not functioning,, we may have different things that can lead to that panel. Liver ( No albuminn ) no protein, not transportation to the PTT/PT/Plaletet... there's no way we could make ANY Coagulation FACTOR.

In other way,, The Liver is screw... so Portal HTA develop as Bebix said... and lead to Damage to the poooooor spleen so Again Decrease plaletet...

C end stage liver disease pt,ptt,bt prolonged and platelet count decreased ..we call this HEMMORRHAGIC DIATHESIS in end stage liver disease patients ..especially long term complication of cirrhosis which can result in liver failure :P
