C)S Phase: To produce two similar daughter cells, the complete DNA instructions in the cell must be duplicated. DNA replication occurs during this S (synthesis) phase.

G2 During the gap between DNA synthesis and mitosis

So which is going to be G2 or S phase? Because the mcq says which stage has 2dsDNA, not which phase leads to it.... basically by the end of synthesis (S phase) you have 2 dsDNA and hence move on to G2... I still think its G2.. more inputs would be nice

S phase...S phase is the synthetic phase in which dna doubles itself

u re rite synthesis of dna occurs in S phase n when the dna enters G2 phase it has two sister chromatids attached at centromeres so we will 2 ds DNA

ur rite S phase is the period fr synthesis n doubling but once its double into two chromatids ur cell is in next phase G2
