Question Blot Procedures Tricky Question

A protein mixture obtained from a cell culture is separated by gel electrophoresis & subsequently transferred to a filter. Labeled DNA probes are then used to detect a specific protein of interest in the sample. Which of the following proteins would be most likely to be detected by the method described above?

A) ras
B) jun
C) Beta 1 adrenoreceptor
D) S-100
E) Adenylate cyclase

They describe Western Blot, I think it was Jun (recall? lol)

DNA probes re used in detection of DNA n RNA
radiolabeled I probes re used for proteins nt DNA probes so it can't be.. c,d or e
im confused between A n B the ras presence should b checked by NORTHERN blot and that uses DNA probes
jun is a gene tht cn b detected by southern blot ......may b B

I say ras as they are trancrptn factors and so should be able to bind to DNA
