Default A question about A-a gradient with supplemental oxygen

If I am not wrong, the normal A-a gradient value is around 5mm hg.

If I administer 680mm Hg of O2 to a healthy person, what would happen to the arterial blood O2 pressure? will it increase close to 680? so the A-a difference will remain the same?

or the A-a gradient will increase because the arterial oxygen pressure will not increase as high as the alveolar oxygen pressure has increased?

What about in a patient with a decreased diffusion capacity? (emphysema, pneumonia, etc)
