Default Generalized anxiety disorder

A 45-year-old female referred to your clinic because of excessive, constant worries about everything in her life as well as about everything of her children and husband. she complains of poor sleep, poor oral intake in addition to loss of 16 pounds over the last 2 months from her already thin frame.You diagnosed her with Generalized anxiety disorder and you decide to put her on which of the following medication:
A. Lorazepam.
B. Fluoxetine.
C. Citalopram.
D. Mirtazapine.
E. Imipramine.

I would go with A) Lorazepam for GAD.

B) Fluoxetine (since its an SSRI) could be right? and D) Mirtazapine could be given coz she complains of poor sleep, since its given for depression with insomnia.

all of them are anti depressants....BZD are used for anxiety...so A

answer is D...MIRTAZAPINE....coz women has complain of weight loss and insomnia along with anxiety..mirtazapine can help in weight gain!!!!
