Help I feel like I don't know anything

I begin my official 7 month (Kaplan+FA+Uworld)Step 1 prep in September. Right now, I have been reviewing high yield topics like Path/Physio/Pharm/Micro/Immuno. Most of the stuff in Path, Physio, Micro, and a little bit in Immuno make sense when I read them. I can read 80-90 percent of it like a story and it makes sense. However when I see everyone posting up questions on here, they seem so difficult. I feel like I don't even know anything. Is this feeling normal before a person begins their (Kaplan+FA+Uworld) prep? My school wasn't exactly the best medschool in the world. I am an img.
Experienced students, please offer your advice so that way I don't end up deceiving myself. Regardless, I plan on working hard during my study period and won't take this exam until I'm getting atleast a solid 230+ on my nbmes.

Hey Mike, join the club. I feel the same way, but i thinking taking an NBME would help solidify things. Actually the questions people have posted seem difficult at first, but then if you go through it and use some thinking and logic, they make sense.

First of all, Welcome to the club!!

when i see people posting 250+/ 270 I feel like where am i fighting? its impossible to beat these guys!! but then I restart with the hope that who knows if they are all true. Believe me or not, I feel its not always the correct score people post, as this time 2013 I didnt see anyone posting step 1 score less than 250, so what the hell? hows that possible?

So, thats ok.

but to increase your confidence, I would suggest to START QBANKS!
no matter from which you start, but you gotta start doing Qs now. thats the only way to boost up your confidence!

Dont worry! we all pass through this phase!!

Dont simply read like a story book. Remember. With memorization, concepts will be easier. I started prep in feb and i feel like most ques posted here now are answerable. Before i did first reading, i feel like i duno anything. Now it is fine. You just need to concentrate on what you read. It cant be like a stoey book. People say it is all about concepts and dont memorize. Well, if lets say you dont memorize what is b6 for, how will you know the concept in biochem? The rest is the same. Where parathormone acts on kidney and its concept? U see it is memorizing lol. Memorize and then concept is easier.
