Because increased androgen in 21 b hydroxylase with have a negative feedback on FSH/LH.
In aromatase def: these is low oestrogen --> virilization in females. Estrogen plays a role in modulating gonadotropin release from pituitary and hypothalamus so FSH and LH will be high. Testosterone may be normal or elevated.
A third of estrogen in males is from sertoli cells, the rest from peripheral conversion of testosterone to estradiol.
