Smile Result out 246/99 :D

today my result out - 246/99 ......
I want to say thanks to this forum and all of the forum members.

About my study, i used all the Kaplan Step 1 Lecture Notes + High yield (genetics) + Rapid review (patho) + BRS (behavioral science) + First aid 2010 + Kaplan Medessentials
For quiz, I studied Uworld + Rx + NBME(offline) + UWSA 1 and 2

During the exam,
- Some of the quiz are same concept as Uworld.
- Some are asked directly from Kaplan books....
- i didn't know 10 quiz in each block....

-many anatomy and patho quiz.
-few pharmaco and micro quiz...
-there were overlapping quiz . Like achondroplasia (3 overlaping quiz)
-2 heart sounds
-biostat nearly 10 quiz ( some are easy, asking senstivity and PPV. Some are study design)
-immune quiz are doable( hypersensitivity reaction and graft rejection)
-histo slide - 2 or 3 ( i didnt remember well), one question with barium swallow, one Xray and one CT .
-no sequential question.

That is my exam experienced...

Thumbs Up congrats

Congrats Eric..great score buddy

I do have a question. I am planning to start Usmle Rx bank very soon, about to finish my 1st read so thought of doing it just to help me get through revision and stuff..is it a good bank? how long does it take to finish it? is there a seperate portion for anatomy questions or is it integrated ?

sorry for overloading you with questions

Rx is a good question bank. U can review 1st aid when u are doing Rx quiz..
I took 3 weeks for Rx .
anatomy question in my exam : some are integrated ( eg. which nerve whould be damaged , in accident , showing xray) . some are just straightforward questions.. (eg coronary blood supply. thyroid blood supply)

i took one month for Uworld ( just 2 block per day, while studying theory)

I did not do q bank. but most of my friends do it...they said it is nice. So , if you have time, you should try it.

yes, you can choose separate portion.

I am also weak in anatomy. I read uworld and Rx anatomy explanation by-heart..
