DNA RFLP Sequence Mutation

Restriction fragment length polymorphism (RFLP) may b produced by mutations in the sites for restriction endonuclease . A single base change in the site for nuclear SalI produces sequence GTGGAC, which can no longer be recognized by enzyme.
What was the original sequence recognized by SalI?

a. GTAGAC
b. GCGGAC
c. CTGGAC
d. GTCGAC
e. GTGTAC

PLEASE ANSWER WITH EXPLANATION

this enzyme only cleve palindrome sequence. tat s A=T, G=C .in this question, option D oly fulfil this . so ans s D

d is correct answer becuase it is palindrome

Pallindromes only are cleaved by endonucleases so (d)
