Hey, Rapunzel - long hair girl

Don;t be so shy - please post your short experience - average NBME, Questions Banks - I understand you're already in "who cares" mood - anyway - Congratulations - now Step 1 Evil Exam in History Forever for you - Country needs Doctors, I think you'll be just fine ....

Hi citadel08,
Thank you for responding to my post. My question was 'is 228 good enough for internal medicine 2016 match?' I was confused because I was told by many that 240+ is required in 2016 match for IM. Thats the reason I posted in this forum. I didnot know that I would be judged for asking this question.
Thank you for your opinion anyways.

Yes of course its good, do better on CK and thats it, you shouldnt listen to everyone saying over 240 is the new normal, the average for this year is 228 +- 21, so you are just fine!! Congrats

Yeah. Dont let people's comment to misguide you. Go to the nrmp MATCH report and you will see the scores of the people who matched.
Remember, scores are good but not the main thing that matters to match.

Best of luck.

One of my friend, who I know personally and talk by phone not through the Skype - last year got 220 on Step 1 and 218 on Step 2 CK - already got 5 interviews for Ophthalmology ( no jokes, true story) - I damn sure - with 228 you can aim even Cardio- or Neurosurgery - if you didn't recall under stress DNA polymerase I or III cuts the primase from lagging strand and got 228 - it doesn't mean that you don't understand how DNA replication occurs - just keep going .... as long as you try there is always a chance ...

the best of luck,
