Congratulations on a great score!

1) Could you please tell me how heavily was Anatomy tested?

2) How was Immunology being tested?

3) Did you get a lot of Neuro images style questions?

4) What would be your advice for studies in last 2 weeks before exam?

@donofitaly: Thank you so much. And now the answers to ur questions:

But before i do I would say patho/pathophys are the most important. And the rest of the subjects u need to integrate with it. And of course memorization is also imp for markers, etc.

1.Anatomy for me was not heavliy tested but i got like maybe 5-6 questions though not very difficult from what i remember it was questions about nerve injuries and ct scan asking what this or that is. I believe kaplan is enough for it. (plus i got a star in anatomy/embryo)

2. I'd say i had a fair amount of immunology questions u have to study well for it. First aid was nice for memorizing things. But kaplan helped alot in developing concepts for immunology. But I was not heavily tested on immuno. although u have to remember that everyone's exam experience is different.

3. Yes Neuro is mostly images. They could ask u where a certain structure is after describing the effects of the lesion, or they could ask a simple question that where is the cranial nerve. I used kaplan neuroanatomy and looked at pictures from neuro HY.

4. Last 2 weeks you should not stress out u need to remember that u have been studying and just go over weak areas and revise uworld notes, continue to do questions with explanations, give NBME if u can if u need to see where u stand and i got 2 pictures from NBME 6 that i saw in the offline version. Good Luck!

@riya10: Hey thank you so much!
Riya my prep was very haphazard. I studied seriously for the last 4 months, 8-9 hrs a day, sometimes even 11- 12 hours/day i graduated last year from Rawalpindi Medical College but i am a US citizen.
The materials i used were KLN, FA, Kaplan video lectures, Goljan audio and some of the blue margin notes from his book, Uworld and i had some offline kaplan questions i used some of them too, and Kaplan Qbook.
First I watched the Kaplan videos and annotated in KLN then I did Uworld and was getting low scores so I turned to First Aid that really helped me i could see that my score improved bcuz of it. I did UW subjectwise and sometimes even tutor mode in the begining but in the end i did random timed and ended up with 54%. That was very discouraging to me but then i studied really hard by doing questions and learning from mistakes and concentrating more on FA. I advise u all to do study all the materials thoroughly and then do Uworld timed and random mode. From the Kaplan series i think biochem, anatomy, pharm, and behavioral were the most helpful to me.

Good Luck to you Riya!

Guys i wanna suggest that more of the behavioral sciences questions should be discussed on this forum because i have seen that many ppl do bad in that and so did i.

Hey! On the day of the exam just relax and think about the fact that u r almost free. Just try to think of things that make u happy if u ever get stressed during the exam.
I took a break whenever i felt that i needed to and did not plan before. I did the first two blocks in one go, and then the rest i took 5-6 minute breaks between and a 10 min break before the last block. I went to the bathroom twice and washed my face. I also took a few sips of red bull during each break and that was very helpful cuz it kept me wide awake.
I was really worried as to how i would sit thru such a long exam but i dont think it was that bad i mean u have so much energy at that time that u get thru. I tried to sleep the night before and managed to get 4 hours of sleep but that did not affect my performance.
The last week before the exam i really just wanted to get it over with but i knew that it was important to revise so keep going that is not the time to slow down but try not to do anything new.

Good Luck!

Hey! I think anatomy is enough from kaplan. I read immuno, biochem, anatomy, and pharm twice from kaplan and if i felt i was forgetting something i wud look it up again n the rest i just did it once with the videos. But plz dont go on how many reads other ppl do u shud read as many times as u feel that u have understood the material. The way to tell if u have understood or not is to do many questions. oh and Goljan audio is awsum i loved it.
I did uworld once and then i was able to revise about 50-60% of it but try to revise it all twice cuz thats alot of info and u shud try to do it twice to make it stick.

Overall doing questions esp from uworld, getting concepts from kaplan and goljan audio, and memorizing things from first aid were very helpful for me.

In the exam i remember that i changed like 4-5 correct answers to incorrect and thats y i dont want u guys to make the same mistake so plz plz plz remember to change ur answer only if u r 110% sure!

Thank you very much and Good Luck to u!

Do you think it can be done using FA+Goljan+UW only in 3 months? and get 90+??

Did u take extensive notes of UW?

How much time u study and how many hours/day?
