Unhappy Advices needed, Step1 in <3 weeks,

Oct 23rd
@ Prometric Center: 74% = 210
NBME 16: 207 Did it online (2 months before the exam)

Dec 2nd
NBME 15: 224 Did it online

- and then reviewed my weak areas from breakdown of NBME15
Dec 8th
NBME 5: 145/200 I time 1.456 = 211 Did it offline
- and then continue reviews my weak areas from NBME 15
Dec 10th
NBME 7: 140/200 I time 1.456 = 204

and my plans was: take NBME 11, 12, 13, 15again, 16again, & UWSA 1 &2 in these 3 weeks so I have a fresher memory but now I'm not sure my plan work anymore!!

I time 1.456 becuz for NBME 16 I got 58 wrongs and I got 207 so I come out with 1.456x instead of 1.4

I did Kaplan qbank 3x and wrote everything in
(Did all Kaplan behavioral video, pharm video, some micro during school)
I did DIT 1x of 2nd part
I did Uworld qbank 2x and wrote everything in and now only doing wrong questions (1st cum = 60%, 2nd cum 70%)
I did pathoma 3x
I did FA almost 5x now!

I'm feeling really frustrated for the mark!
When I review some of questions that I got wrong: I either mis-read the questions or over-think! Can someone please give me some advices?
-feeling really depressed now after working so hard and can't raise the score!

If you don't postpone it further, then your time will be best spent on doing more Qbanks (you haven't done USMLERx) and do another round of FA. Re-do Pathoma (are you watching videos? The videos are its advantage!)

But if you postpone, then you have more time to spare to...
1. Check your weak areas and watch Kaplan videos on specific topics. You are probably having problems in integrating concepts leading to poor performance on Qbanks. If your weak area is Pathophysiology or Pathology, it's also a telltale that you are not ready.
2. Do more Qbanks and NBME. Testmanship is not something that can be learned, but a skill to be practiced. Know what the examiner is asking based on the question.

My theory: Probably you still have weak basic science foundation. And it's really difficult to just go straight to Qbank without having good understanding of these concepts. That probably is the reason why your scores have plateaued. Quick fix is Qbank (Uworld, Kaplan and USMLERx) and FA. But definitive management will be study the whole Kaplan Lecture notes/videos, Goljan and re-learn everything.

Sorry if my post is not as encouraging. But you have to be realistic with your score target considering your NBME performance. I'm sure you'll pass. But I think you are frustrated because you are aiming a score.

Hey Coelom!

Thank you for the response! I just took UWSA-1 I got 234! I'm really in doubt now! My weak area is physiology! Pathology is just above the borderline! Biochem, & Anatomy are in borderline. For systems wise, I am weak on Cardio! Should I postpone it or not? Can't make my decision!

Don't fall in the trap of UWSA ,it over predicts a lot

my exam will be in 14 weeks. I haven't finish uworld for the first time.
If you re feeling unsure then the best way is canceling the exam and taking more time for preparation. $850 is not big if you think you could get a higher score with more prep time.
Best,
