Correct Answer

The correct answer is A.
The question requires knowledge of the different parts of the splenic red pulp. Splenic cords of reticular fibers, sinusoids that are filled with blood, and the "marginal zone" that border the white pulp are components of the red pulp. The white pulp is composed of Malpighian corpuscles, which consist of lymphoid follicles and are rich in B-lymphocytes. The white pulp also contain the periarteriolar lymphoid sheaths (PALS), which are rich in T-lymphocytes.
