i am starting microbiology today.. Just wanted a suggestion that which one i should make my number 1 source, the Kaplan microbiology or Clinical Microbiology made ridiculously simple? I found CMMRS quite fun to study (i took a look and studied half of the first chapter 2-3months before).. but then again who can deny Kaplan? So i'm really confused about which one i should go for? or Should i integrate the two sources? i think second option is the safest.. but it'll certainly take a lot of time.. So if somebody could take out some time to suggest which one i should go for and if integration is better, then how can i study both efficiently? Thanks..
IMO I would start from CMMRS !!! Those funny things will make u remember better. I would personally skip Kaplan for Micro and just stick to FA....really for Exam FA is more than enough.
Kaplan is a little overkill for Micro!
Doing two resources for micro is not really recommended
I did CMMRS , I think it's quite long but really funny , i was confused like you but I chose CMMRS and I don't regret it b/c its my weak
If u have time do it , if u don't Kaplan is very good too
And as being said , FA is the real resource , but you might need a background Form KLN or CMMRS
Thanks for your beautiful suggestions. What I've learned that i should be going for one source, and that should be CMMRS(along with FA). i also liked it, my fear is that if i will miss anything if i skip the Kaplan videos. But if you say everything is covered in CMMRS, I'll go for it, skipping Kaplan LN and videos altogether.
I'll be starting microbiology next week and have a similar question.
I tried reading FA but it's very hard to follow.
Think I need some background before reading FA: which one is better Kaplan or CMMRS? I have the most recent Kaplan and 3rd edition of CMMRS.
Thanks for your advice.
