Drug Drug Interaction with Rifampicin!

A 62-year-old Chinese man is to be started on rifampicin for treatment of his latent TB infection. His PMH is significant for HTN, CAD. and hypercholesterolemia. His current medications include metoprolol, diltiazem.
aspirin. pravastatin, and nitroglycerin patches. Which of ...his current medications will most likely interact with rifampicin?

A. Metoprolol
B. Pravastatin
C. Aspirin
D. Diltiazem
E. Nitroglycerin.

rifampin induces cytochrome p450 which can decrease the half life of co administered drugs


Rifampin Warfarin Clot formation (1)
Oral contraceptives Pregnancy (1)
Cyclosporine/tacrolimus Rejection (1)
HIV-1 protease inhibitors Increased viral load, resistance (1)
Nonnucleoside reverse-transcriptase inhibitors Increased viral load, resistance (1)
Glucocorticoids Loss of steroid effect (1)
Methadone Narcotic withdrawal symptoms (1)
Digoxin Subtherapeutic digoxin levels (1)

chinese? why chinese?
according to kaplan you should always pay attention to ethnicity or race because when mentioned it means they associate to specific conditions that are prevalent in those populations. I don't see the point of the chinese origin here.
