Default Step 1 fee

How much is it to take Step 1??

This website says $535 but I heard it was about $750.. Plus it says medical students in the U.S and Canada.. Not international..

I'd like to know the same.
Also, I'd like to know at what point do I need to pay?
When I apply at ECFMG for the first time
OR
when I pick my eligibility period (or do I do that also when I apply for ECFMG Certification)
OR
when I apply for a specific test date at prometric?

Thanks in advance

I found it I think... $780 US dollars http://www.ecfmg.org/fees/

Plus you pay when your applying through ECFMG and you choose your eligibility period at the same time.. After that you get your USMLE number or whatever than apply through prometric, no more fees there I believe
