Smile My step 1 experience (IMG)

Well is time for me to give a little, since i receive a lot of help from this forum

I'm an IMG, graduated end of 2013.

Sarted studying: September 2013
Hours/day: 10 hours, the last months i did 11 hours a day

1._ All kaplan books & Videos, they are amazing and i must be honest, i had little base of biochemestry..so kaplan was just the best for me. They are not even close from boring, the teachers put a lot of energy on explaining difficult things in an understandable manner, and most important with a clinical point of view.
At the end i did Biochemestry again
Method: read a chapter and then did the video of it. Then i made flash cards of what i thought it was the most relevant. I ended up with near 1000 cards.
2._Goljan book for pathology
3._ First Aid for step 1
4._ Started Usmle World Qbank, did it for only 2 months. I recomend to do it for more time if possible.
5._ First Aid, First Aid, First Aid, First Aid & my flash cards

NBME SA 12: score 215 on July 14th.
UWSA 1: score 225 on August 3th.
NBME SA 7: score 224 on August 15th.
UWSA 2: score 245 on Sept. 11th.

Real Exam: 225 on Sept. 22 (2014)
I really studyed for a minimun of 230.. but anyway, at least i stayed in the 50th percentile.

The exam was ok, i felt it was not hard at all, had a lot of time per block to review my marked questions.

I wish you all a lot of energy and good luck through this journey
