GIT NBME 11 concept.

Hi, following is a concept from NBME 11. I am not posting the actual question but I am modifying it to test the concept.

Question - In Crohn's disease there is inflammatory damage to one of the following epithelial structures :

1) Adherens Junctions
2) Basement membrane
3) Desmosomes
4) Gap Junctions
5) Tight junctions

This damage leads to increased absorption of lactulose. Could you please tell me which one is it?
