A healthy 8-year-old child undergoes an uncomplicated inguinal hernia repair under general anesthesia. While in the postoperative recovery room, the child develops a fever, tachycardia, and somnolence. The patientís temperature is 42 degrees Celsius and red-brown discoloration of his urine is observed. What medication should this child receive?
