Default nbme 15 discussion

4 days following hike thru forest a man develops multiple pruritic skin lesions.skin was not covered with clothing.he applies 1%toopical hydrocortisone. lesion subside over 1-2 wks.

local anaphylaxis

Type 4 Hypersensitivity.....He got poison Ivy.

during a series of normal skeletal myscle twitches ATP concentration doesnt fall bcz of
atp is quickly regenerated from creatinine phosphate
creatine phosphate is hydrolized by myosin
initial ATP is high

Type IV hypersensitivity, pay atention about time firstly, 4 days after, it's a delayed type ....
It's a contact dermatitis, because something like ivy, or any plant and object may produce this type of reaction...
