i dont know about the verification part but u shouldnt worry too much about ur eligibility period. only once u get ur scheduling permit does the 3 months start. so lets say u get ur permit in oct. that means ur 3 months is oct- dec or nov-jan. honestly i forgot but im 100% they wont have ur eligibility period starting on a month that just passed. that should hopefully make u feel a lil better. i would keep calling ur school and ecfmg and find out wat the problem is. 16weeks is a pretty long time.

the period that u selected when u registered for the test doesnt matter until u get the scheduling permit. after u get the permit the period starts. so it doesnt matter what u selected. ill give u wat happened w/ me. i picked march-may when i registered for my test, but my scheduling permit didnt come till around april. so my actual 3 months eligibility period became apr-june. currently im in my extension period. bascially im saying is that whenever ur scheduling permit comes thats when the 3 months start so u dont have to worry about that.

i dont have a solution to get ur scheduling permit. it took me 4 weeks to get mine so 16 weeks seems like a really long time. i would talk to ur school as well because ecfmg would respond to ur school faster than u. honestly all i think u can do is make a few calls but in the mean time try to do things that u can control, like being ready for the test whenever u do get ur scheduling permit. gl man it always works out in the end

Problem is not with ECFMG, your college is not verifying ur documents.
Call your college. If your college is listed in IMED, they ur problem will be solved earlier.
I had a similar issue & i called my medical college. My documents were processed in less than 2 weeks.

For more information about the process, see this thread,
ECFMG Registration Steps

And as ujustgotdoctored mentioned your triad will be automatically extended, so don't worry about it.
