Smile Raghda Step 1 Experience

first i want to say hi to all the members ,,,then i want to share my experience in step 1
i am an immigrant complete my study outside the US and has green card ,, i married outside the US and came with my US citizen husband to US i thought that step 1 not a big problem and i can did it but to be honest when i begin to study i feel like there s a big bag on my shoulders that i will never can get ride of it especially when i become a mother for a girl oh no i cant say anything husband , baby ,home oh no family with step 1 but i did what ever i can study kaplan books 2 times see the videos and did kaplan Qbook and Qbank then usmle world and do 2 assessment and did all the nbme forms except the 11,12 but i was so worry even i cant sleep good the night before but i did it ,,, after all that i thought that i will get the 99 but for bad luck i got my result yesterday and i got only 85 that shock me even i cant cry i cant shout or say anything ,, oh my God what i did wrong what i will do i dont know i thought that theres no residency program will accept me
plz i need help what i can do i feel like i loss my dream i feel like something begin to broken in my heart i cant live my day my thought all in this score i try to say to myself thats ok be sure theres position for you but if ste 1 i got 85 what will happen in step 2
i try to be happy tell myself you did it 85 not thats bad especially i dont study in US and in my country the study different and also i thought of my family and my responsibilities to them but again i back to this score and see others who got 98 and 99 i feel theres no hope i dont know if i should to walk in this way or thats not my way and i should give up i dont know my mind cant think in good way ,,,,,,

You did awesome, dont let youself down because of others score, you know how hard is to get the 85... So Just be calm and 85 is a good score. Just aim higher to the Step 2 and 3 ... You still could end up in a good residence program.

=) again, congrats and Heads Up.

Hi! this is not such a bad score! dont forget, programs look at the 3-digit-score, not the 2-digit-score. how is your 3 digit score?

Like all the others said, cheer up sister. It's really not a bad score. It's a good score. Remember that most people in the forums do not post their experience because the truth is that most people do not get a 99 or 98.

I believe that everybody's experience is very well appreciated by members in the forum, and I thank you for posting. Yet other people that didn't get a 99 feel like their post would be useless, so we see less of those.

Still thank God for your great score. Aim higher on step 2 and be positive. We all have the power of attraction and so if we think positive, good things will happen.

Best of luck on your following endeavors...Cheers!!

Thumbs Up

Heyy! that is a good score with what you had on your plate, and I know everyone has been telling you the same, seeing you getting 85, gives me hope, not having as much on schedule as you did and still scoring 85, maybe there is a light at the end of the tunnel for the rest of us to.

So what if you read ppl get 99, or even 98, those are just numbers, not everyone can get those grades, there is always a bell curve remember, so it is completely fine if we fall a few points short, as long as you attempted and passed, that is one accomplishment on its own.

furthermore, god has blessed you with a beautiful daughter and a loving family, Remember he is the ultimate planner , you did your best

Take Care and best of luck with whatever you choose next in life.
