Question Causes of female pseudohermaphroditism

A 16-year-old female presents to your office for her first gynecological exam. She is noted to have ambiguous genitalia. Upon further questioning she states as a child she had a genetic workup showing a karyotype of (46 XX). She was given the diagnosis of female pseudohermaphrodite. Which of the following is not a cause of female pseudohermaphroditism?
A. Congenital adrenal hyperplasia
B. Androgen secreting ovarian tumor in the mother

The correct answer is E.
Female pseudohermaphrodite can be caused by congenital adrenal hyperplasia, androgen secreting adrenal or ovarian tumor in the mother and hormones administered to the mother during pregnancy. Androgen insensitivity is a cause of male pseudohermaphroditism (phenotypically are females, but have testes and karyotype of 46, XY).
