Heart End Diastolic Pressure and End Diastolic Volume

Hi can some kind soul please explain this LVEDP/LVEDV thing. UWorld is confusing.

they say that in diastolic heart failure in order to maintain CO the LVEDP must be increased to help increase the LVEDV and so maintain SV and CO.
how does this even make sense, how will increasing the LVEDP increase the LVEDV, I mean you are increasing the pressure against which the LV will fill in a heart that is non complaint and you expect the diastolic volume to increase.
someone pls HELP me, I haven't got any u-world cardio pressure question right!

Non-compliant does not mean that it's so stiff that it won't dilate. It just means that you need more pressure to effect the volume change.
