Question low step 1 score

i got my step 1 score today and i am so sad, i feel is over for me.
my score 202(83), i was hoping to get pretty high score.
i wanted to enter a residency program in im, peds or fm but with such a low score i m confused whether to go ahead and take the step 2 all just forget about it all together.
Pls any advice guys.

Don't be down. Try to make the best of it. I think you can still make it into one of those residencies. Do better on your step 2 and/or do research. Don't put yourself behind even before others do....no, no, no. You would just make it easier for the others. You have to try your best to make it, and try until the last moment. People with a lower score than yours have made it and will continue to make it, because they try. So pick up a smile and show it to the world..You passed!! Woohooo!! Congrats...

first of all congratulations for ur score....it's not bad score...don't worry, you will definitively get ur goal. as tootsie said there are lots of people whose score less than you, are doing residency. so be calm and think ahead..... try to get your best in next steps.....

Not everyone gets 99, we just have to admit it and accept it. I believe that there is a great pool of people with exactly the same score. Just keep studying and do your best. If you choose your programs wisely during the application/interview period (score cut-offs, year of graduation, etc), I think you'll have a great chance to match. Don't forget to boost your application with USCE. Good luck to you on future exams!

Listen to what they all say. At least you didnt fail. And also, from what my friends said before, personal statements, LORs, interviews really matter. So you can make those stellar!
