Question Bloody diarrhea After Hamburger!

A number of children are hospitalized with bloody diarrhea and severe hematological abnormalities. A4-year-old girl dies of kidney failure shortly after admittance. Epidemiological investigation establishes that all of the patients developed symptoms soon after consuming hamburgers from the same fast-food restaurant chain. Which of the following organisms is most likely to be responsible for the outbreak?

A) C. jejuni
B) non-01 serogroup of V. cholerae
C) O157:H7 serotype of E. coli
D) S. typhimurium
E) Shigella dysenteriae

E coli's shiga like toxins causes HUS. . .so i guess C. . .but option E is also killing me. . .

Both E. Coli & shigella can cause HUS but when we say undercooked hamburgers then it's E.Coli.

Correct Answer C > O157:7H sertype of E.coli

the correct answer is C O157:7H sertype of E.coli and what make it E.coli and not shigella that the main difference in them that shigella toxin causes fever while E.coli doesn't like in this case he didn't mention development of fever , second E.coli O157:7H sertype of E.coli is always related to undercooked meet specially humbergers
