hi there,

is it possible to study and revise the pharmacology from the 1st aid
rather than reading a whole review book?

2nd question: how much does the pharmacology represnt (as a percentage) in the step 1?

and thank you

hi,
i'd suggest do pharma properly and throughly cause this is one of the main subjects that can be integrated with other subs
as for the percentage, its hard to tell cause questions are generally integrated with biochem, patho, physio... almost everything...
also, this is a major subject for step 2 ck, so u need to be through with your basics when u prescribe a particular drug over others....
it is a hard and volatile subject to study, but theres no easy way out.
in FA, u could revise the drugs but u cant know details around it which probably is the whole point....
do pharma properly, it will pay off.... also emphasize on the pharmacodynamics/kinetics part n the formulae... sums based on them do appear.
all the best.

Pharmacology consists of 14-15%. FA is not enough. Go through kaplan and watch videos too. Videos are very helpful in understanding basic concepts.
