Post aminoacid lysine net charge at extreme pH

Hi all!

I found in biochem stp 1 an answer to a question in which it said that at an extreme pH the net charge of lysine is -2(less two), how can that be?

From what I know, lysine has C00H group and two NH2 groups and has 3 pK's (2.2-9-10.5), and when the pk of a group is<pH of the medium it will loss the Hydrogen (eg. COOH becames COO-), and when the pK of the group>pH of the medium it will gain a hydrogen (NH2 becames NH3+).

But I am stuck in the answered of the uw biochem questions that says that at exteme pH the net charge is -2.

I have looked somewhere else and could not found an explanation for the EXTREME pH.

Any help will be appreciated!!
