Question Which is better?

Hey guys, I have this doubt since a long time.
Which is of greater importance- 2 digit score or 3 digit score?
I mean to say, for instance, two persons A & B took exam on different dates and person A scored 230/99 and person B scored 234/96, who scored better according to USMLE?

B is currently the best person to be for a match!

Both scores are good .

And DO NOT WORRY ABOUT 2 DIGIT SCORE ,
AS EXISTENCE OF 2 DIGIT SCORE IS GOING TO FINISHED FROM 1ST OCTOBER .
2 DIGIT SCORE WILL NOT BE GIVEN/DISPLAYED IN SCORE REPORT
.

Sorry, you are wrong, 2 digit score will be reported to USMLE TAKERS, they will not send the report of 2 digit to the match. But again for the good sake of Usmle takers 2/3 digiti will be keep reported.

For example,

i take usmle step 1, they will report me back both scored 230/99 but to the residency match they will only send the 230.

That's what i read at the last ecfmg letter a few month ago.

I misinterpreted the statement at ecfmg website.
so we will get both scores.but actually 2 digit score should not be reported to anyone.it does not make sense.

It does, we actually our whole carrier on med school were reported as 2 digit scored, is better interpretation to us. So they will make it simple, 2/3 for us, but for program directors and residency program will be 3 digit score... they always has been managing themselves with 3 digits...
