Default do we have to cancel an appointment ?

i need one help and its urgent... my exam is scheduled a week ahead from now, the testing center for which is in my neigbhouring country but unfortunately my visa application got cancelled for that country.i had already rescheduled my exam and i had taken the last possible date of the very last month.i know i'll have to drop the exam for now but i plan on taking it later.so do i have to cancel my appointment at the prometric center or i need not have to do anything.or will me leaving this way will count as an attempt?

thanks in advance.

Sorry to hear that. From what I understand you can safely cancel your date or leave it as it is without having to pay any rescheduling fee ONLY IF you are going to begin a new application (have exhausted your 3 month eligibility period extension).

I may be incorrect, so the best thing to do is call your regional prometric center or the Ecfmg. GL

Here, have a look at these links:

Cancelling the exam does not count as an attempt

How do I cancel the exam?

It seems there is no risk and no fee either way, but in my opinion, better to cancel since that may reduce your anxiety and help someone in getting a spot.
