Unhappy got my score step 1 :(

i know some people would say it is nice score but i have worked hard
i used dvd kaplan and first aid the 3 books and also usmle world for one month
i know some people worked harder than me and i made some mistakes in the exam but i expected 99 or 98
can they mark my exam wrong and i ask for revision of the results?could i had forgotten to answer some questions?i am confused
i am ambitious and i want to get internal medicine in a great university although i am 30 yrs old and passed step 1 only
could someone support me with nice words:sorry:

I totally understand on how many would say this is a good score. Even I say 'this is a good score", but only you know what you were expecting.

Hang in there, and think positive. You will surely get into a IM residency. Try better on your next step. I know many people that would be very happy with your score.

I would also like to know if USMLE/NBME org. offers revision of the test, and if so, how?

What were you scoring on your NBME's? And also, do program directors judge us by age? How "young" do I have to be?

So let me first say congrats. While I know you dont like your score you did do well.

Program directors dont care about age I'm told. Its more so about the year of graduation. So if you are a few years out of school you will have a more difficult time matching. However I have also been told that some program directors really appreciate the maturity that older grads bring to programs as well as the experience.

i had read microbiology mrs and brs but no kaplan notes
i studied for 10 months but it was very interrupted and uncontinuous
i am 30 years old but i i graduated at 2004 and finished 1 year of internship at 2006
so how they will estimate years since graduation? since 2004 or 2006?

I would say ask you what were you getting in ur nbme?
and do u think its wise to take nbme earlier and i am sure that u can get IM residecy with this score. there is no need to worry about it right now cuz step1 cuz it is jus the start, the real deal comes when u have to send the application forms.
anyways the only disadvantage u have is you are old graduate and that is it,. there is nothing wrong with ur score. but still in total i would say u have pretty good chance to get residency
