how to calculate years since graduation?

I have finished study December 2004-January 2005
Then spent obligatory internship(house officer) which is one year known in Egypt as (al-emtyaz)(excellence year) from march 2005 to march 2006
so how to calculate years of graduation?from 2004,2005 or 2006?

Calculate it from the graduation year ( the provisional certificate date )

it is 2004 December
but the final certificate writes 2004 and 2006 both

it's 2004 , ( i'm graduated from egypt too so i know what i'm telling you )

The year on your Diploma, there should be one saying "given in the year of .....". If it is not clear then ask for a Dean's letter, it will say graduated in year of ......
