Score dropped from NBME 6 to NBME 7

I am doing my preparation for step 1 . I did Kaplan video lectures, gave 3 reads to Kaplan lecture notes, read Kaplan Q-book, Kaplan Qbank, goljan audio lectures, Goljan pathology review and UWorld Qbank and then I took NBME 6 . My score was 520, estimated step 1 score 226. After that, I gave goljan pathology review a second read and did first aid for the first time. Today I did NBME 7 and I was hoping that my score will improve . Instead it went down to 470, estimated step 1 score 214. So after studying first aid and goljan pathology for the second time, my score went down instead of going up.

Before i took NBME 7 , i was expecting a better score than the last time and my plan was to repeat Uworld Q bank, take NBME 11, give first aid another read , take NBME 12 and take the exam. But now after this bad score in NBME 7 , I am really confused as to what I should do next. Should I go according to plan and start second read of Uworld Qbank or do something else like maybe giving kaplan lecture notes another read? I am really disheartened and confused after this bad score in NBME 7 . Can someone please advive me about what to do next?

Also I realised that there was a big difference in the level of difficulty of NBME 6 and 7 . NBME 6 was much easier. Did anyone else notice that?

Thanks.

1st thing only goljan can't improve your score,,,instead it may decrease it.. . .reason Goljan is only for pathology and it usually takes one month to read it completely but after that your knowledge about other 6 subjects has been wiped out of your brain,,,i hav faced this situation thats y i left goljan after 2 reads took Kaplan pathology. . .
2nd thing is,,,u need to take nbme offline 3,4 before taking 11,12 online. . .if your >80% questions are correct then take nbme . . .online. . .
instead of Goljan it's better to give time to uworld and FA. . .bcz they comprise the whole step1
based on personal experience. . .i haven't yet taken any nbme

First aid

I wud suggest u to read first aid again...concentrate more on ur weak areas this time...............if u r really low on confidence give uwsa 1 or 2..............bcoz according to me confidenc is all wat matters............some ppl kinda get saturated at one point of time..........even that brings down ur score.......take a break nd cum back wid a bang........gud luck

....

Technically, most of the q's you do...either UWorld, Kaplan, USMLERx, or even the NBMEs....they are found in FA, but you need to understand what FA is saying. I was able to understand lot more after I annotated UW into FA as well as read the Goljan transcribed notes. They went very well with the Falcon Path book that Goljan personally made...not the Rapid Review.

hey guys i took nbme 6 after through reading from kaPLAN , FIRST AID TOOK THE dit COURSE AND MY NBME score is 370/190.I am shocked at my score, dont know how to study further ,exam is in 6 weeks would i be able to increase the score, need advice plz
My friend, is not really about how much you read but, have you considered revising loudly the material you study? maybe with a study partner, insted of just reading and reading?
You are covering the right sources i just think that the material doesnt stick into you, try to repeat loudly telling to your self about what you have just read.
6 weeks is still alot of time. but just to be on the safe side take another NBME 3 weeks before the exam, if dramatic change didnt occur, delay, recalculate and restudy.
