Hi Jeicy,

the way to get into any state/USA is to do your USMLE exams and externships, clinical attachments, researches in the States ( for letters of recommendation, etc.)

So for Step 1 Starters, its your choice on how you wish to give the steps. Which are a total of 3. USMLE Step1, Step 2 (CK, CS) and Step 3.

I have noticed that those who are in clinical practice like to give Step 2 first as its the most updated knowledge they have. Whereas for Step 1 you would need to go back to year 1 and 2 of Medical School, and review your basic sciences.

Usually people take about 8 weeks of intense 8 hours studying to give a step, but there are a few who even study for a year or so. It is entirely based on self scheduling.

I hope this helped... If you need anything else, I would be glad to help, along with other members of course.

GOOOD LUCKKKK and Welcome Aboard!
